“We have to continually be jumping off cliffs and developing our wings on the way down.” — Kurtis Weber
We perform better when we know others are watching. In FFP students don't just write and create for their teacher or classmates, we publish for the world to see. We strive to create projects that have an authentic purpose and adequately answer the question: "why are we doing this?"
A key 21st century skill is the ability to work with others towards a common goal. FFP offers countless opportunities to work alongside classmates and the world. Students are encouraged to find collaborators within the class and around the world.

In FFP students take control of their learning. Using the model of gradual release students get to build their confidence and ultimately own the content of the course. Every class is different as each group chooses a different path.
We encourage failure. In FFP students are taught that failure isn't something to be avoided but an essential step in the
creative process. |
FFP integrates three connected but different curriculum to offer students an opportunity to earn credits in English, Careers and Civics in a single course. Students will use communication skills (English) to promote themselves and build their digital footprint (Careers) as they seek to make a difference in the world (Civics).

FFP builds upon authentic learning activities that engage student interest and motivation. These activities are designed to teach students 21st century learning and reflect the types of learning and work that usually happens outside the classroom.
